banking, our client provides quality investment banking, a stock broking,
treasury and funds management services to a diverse client base.
Consistent with their continued
growth and as a result of an internal promotion, the role of Associate Director,
Taxation has become available in their Hong Kong Office. Reporting to the
Head of Tax-Asia, your responsibilities will cover two main areas. Firstly,
you will work closely with all areas of the Group in order to give advice
on various matters relating to corporate/structured finance, equity/capital
markets, treasury and funds management. Secondly, you will work closely with
the various heads of finance in the Asia region in order to review and effectively
plan the organisation's own position in relation to taxation matters. Specific
jurisdictions for which you will have responsibility include Hong Kong, China,
Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines & Indonesia.
Ideally you will be CA qualified
and have around six years post-qualification experience with another financial
institution, or the banking and finance area of the tax division within one
of the "Big 4" chartered firms. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate
strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with the
most senior levels of management both inside and outside the Group. Whilst
not essential, language skills in one of the jurisdictions for which you will
have responsibility would be an advantage.
