Executive Search

Executive search is an area of particular strength in the range of services offered by ORS for more than two decades. It is a nuanced process and in order to be successful must go far beyond merely identifying and contacting suitable targets for a particular role.

Executive search is the bespoke end of the recruitment process and is most effectively applied to securing senior executives. These are people that have carefully and thoughtfully curated their own careers and to whom a convincing case for change must be made in order for them to consider a new opportunity.

This is where ORS’s strength in executive search lies. Beyond identifying suitable targets for a role, we examine their careers and current roles to track where we feel they are on the curve to their potential. Using this research we work with our clients to determine what they feel they can offer these individuals in terms of experience and advancement that may improve their trajectory on that curve. At this point we initiate contact with the targets.

Remuneration is of course an important element in attracting targets to a role, but it is essential to remember it is only one ingredient in the complex recipe needed to convince the very best senior executives to change track in their careers. With all of this in mind we work assiduously to ensure the agreed targets become candidates, and in turn, the chosen candidate becomes the appointee.
